Charging a Lexus Plug-in Hybrid vehicle is easy on the road. Simply stop at any AC charging station across the nation and recharge there. If the battery runs low while you drive, it will seamlessly switch to hybrid mode, keeping you moving until you recharge.
Wake up to a full battery
We recommend charging your Lexus Plug-in Hybrid overnight for maximum range the next day. On average, charging a NX 450h+ or RX 450h+ from a depleted battery will take 7.5 hours3 with a 10A charging current.
GO THE DISTANCE
The distance a Lexus Plug-in Hybrid travels depends on speed and traffic. When the battery runs low, you can keep driving in hybrid mode until you recharge again. The Lexus NX 450h+ has an electric range of 87km and the Lexus RX 450h+ has an electric range of 85km.4

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HYBRID AND PLUG-IN HYBRID VEHICLES?

A Plug-in Hybrid has a larger battery capacity and a dedicated port to recharge, allowing for an extended range. Both start in electric mode when sufficiently charged, giving you the choice to use less fuel compared to petrol vehicles.

The driving range shown on your Lexus Plug-in Hybrid vehicle’s display may vary in real-world conditions. Factors such as speed, terrain, weather extremes, and driving style can all influence efficiency. Additional elements like frequent air-conditioning use or incorrect charging habits can also reduce range. By understanding these factors, you can optimise performance and efficiency and start every journey with greater confidence.
HOW CAN I CHARGE MY PLUG-IN HYBRID VEHICLE?
Charge at home by installing your own charger or plugging into a household outlet – or charge in public at an AC charging station. On average, charging either a NX 450h+ or RX 450h+ on a completely empty battery will take 7.5 hours with a 10A charging current, and 2.5 hours with a 32A charging current (found in public charging outlets).3 We encourage owners to charge each night to enjoy maximum range the next day.
